Mia Isabella was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1985 and spent much of her childhood moving between Chicago and Tennessee. From a very young age she showed a dedication to the arts, practicing violin for at least two hours a day between the ages of 8 and 18. She graduated high school early at the age of 16, attended the Art Institute of Chicago, and later earned a fashion degree from the Paris Fashion Institute. Before entering the adult entertainment world, she even ran her own luxury designer boutique, showing a strong sense of personal ambition and creative drive.
Mia began her career in the adult film industry in 2005 at the age of 19 with her first scene in a production called T‑Girls 3. Early in her career she quickly drew attention for her performances and presence on camera. After working steadily in the industry, she took a brief break in her early twenties before returning to full‑time work and continuing her rise as a popular performer. Over the years she appeared in numerous films with various well‑known studios and helped shape her own image as a transgender performer in the adult world.
After nearly a decade in front of the camera, Mia retired from performing in adult films in early 2014. During her active years she became one of the most recognized names in her niche, and her work earned her nominations and awards from industry organizations. Even after stepping back from adult filmmaking, her contributions continued to be acknowledged by fans and professionals alike.
Mia also crossed into mainstream media. In 2013 she lent her voice to a character in the hugely popular video game Grand Theft Auto V, marking a notable moment as one of the first transgender performers to be featured in a major game title. She also appeared in television, including a cameo scene in the final season of a well‑known drama series.
